B-A-N-A-N-A-S

Yes folks, it's been another crazy week here in the waste island...

After hearing so much and feeling pretty behind the crowd, I watched a whole episode of Desperate Housewives for the first time this weekend. There was nothing else to do- it was a lazy Sunday evening, already dark out before 7pm. I hadn't done much during the day besides attempting to drive again (aaahh my test is soon) and as usual was desperately looking for something to do.

So yeah, Desperate Housewives. The reviews are over-rated. Not that it's a horrible show, but I think there are better shows. As I watched the show and got to know the characters I couldn't help but think, 'Geez, the people on this show can be really snobby, unfair, and even evil! They're horrible. Really, is this the kind of show people should be watching?'

Then I realized, many people in real life, ARE snobby, unfair, and evil. Even worse was the list I could come up with realizing that I myself have dealt with some of the nastiest things people can say or do. Stuck-up snobs, son-of-a-bitch people, infidelity, back-stabbing liars, evil ex girlfriends, over-the-top drama queens- it's shocking how my list goes on. Yes, I've had several cruel thoughts of my own, but never had the courage to say or do (most of) them.

Is our world becoming more evil? Are shows like DH and movies like 'Mean Girls' becoming reality?

It's indian summer in Montreal! Suddenly, my leather jacket goes back in closet and out come the tank tops again. My sister gets a mosquito bite. I enjoy the weather and try not to coop myself in as I know I will be doing so once we hit below five degrees.

I had the choice of going to an open job interview at a local radio station. Even though I am not interested in working here, I decided to show up. It turned out to be crappy job offer in advertising sales for which I'd be underpaid and need a vehicle.

Mi amigo Alex de Mexico has moved to Montreal! Finally, I know someone who's also bored outta their mind and understands what it means to really change sceneries. After supposedly meeting up for coffee, he decided that coffee wasn't good enough. He thought we needed beer. After three glasses and seeing how red my face was getting (I get as red as ketchup really fast) he decided we needed Tequila. Si, the shot. As my former choreographer he somehow convinced me to take one. "C'mon, we've got no show tonight..." Yeah, Mexico rocks.

Diana did my hair this week. Going into the pool everyday in Mexico had caused my black dye to wash off, leaving me with copper-steaked ends and black roots. I re-dyed my hair a dark burgundy-brown shade (looks like black with red highligts in the sun). Geez, I even get bored of my hair color. Diana girl, you should become a hairdresser.

Why I need to move out badly: My parents got pissed at me for staying out late on a weekday night- mostly because I didn't help my sister with her homework. "Help" meaning "Do". I'm the type of person who enjoys sitting down and learning things- but not her. And the younger, brattier ones get away with it all. Not that I avoid helping her- I try to whenever I can. I even gave her a start for this particular assignment and told her if she can't do it in french just write it in english and I'll help her translate. But nnooo- leaving me to spend most my day writing her assignment for her.

Ok ok, enough complaining for this week. But please someone, knock some sense into the many absurd beings out there.
