W-T-F?!

So I get to my second interview for the animator job excited and well-prepared. As soon as we get there, we start running kiddie games which we were told to prepare for the interview. Everyone did extremely well - they were, after all, kids games. After about an hour of games, they told us that they couldn't hire as many people as they thought they could, and cut at least half of us off, without telling us why. Can you believe some people?

Speaking of demoralized people, a shooting occured at Dawson College today, where 10 000 students including my sister and cousin are enrolled. Out of the blue, in Quebec's biggest college with supposedly good security, 20 people were wounded, some in very critical conditions; two are even dead. Idiot shooters. Really, what's wrong with these people? One of them even shot himself after. Flashbacks of the One Tree Hill episode in which the gang is trapped in a classroom with a psychotic killer ran through my head. Another Montreal school catastrophe makes CNN. Thank god my sister called and told us about the shooting before we even heard of it. My mother would have panicked like hell. But yeah, up until now, this type of this was all supposed to be something you only see on TV - it only happens to other people. It's gotten to the point where we can't always say we're safe.
